This past weekend, I made a run to my local comic book shop to pick up my books. I thought it might be fun to share what I currently have on my pull list.
Conan The Barbarian
The comic that brought me into the comic book shop to begin with, Conan the Barbarian is a monthly series written by Jim Zub, following the adventures of everyone’s favorite barbarian. It’s fast, brutal, and a lot of fun to read.

It’s been almost two years since I started down my path of exploring the world of Conan the Barbarian. It all began with reading The Tower of the Elephant after taking a suggestion from reddit and my ability to find a free copy online. I read the story in one sitting and once I was done, I wasn’t quite sure the world of sword and sorcery was for me, but I was happy I’d tried something new.

Last month, when I began reading Red Sonja vs. Army of Darkness, I found myself wanting more Ash in my life. Last week, I opened up DC Universe Infinite to see what new comics were around to read. One cover caught my eye:

Story: ⭐️⭐️ Artwork: ⭐️ Re-Reability: Zero
A few weeks ago, the standard release for the monthly issue of Conan the Barbarian was delayed, and in its place, Titan released a digital comic title Eastern Horizons. This one-shot comic was written by Walt Simonson, best known for his work on Thor in the mid-1980s. The art was handled by Jerry Ma.
I was frustrated that this was a digital only release, and even more so that it was a Kindle only digital release, but I went ahead and paid $3.

Last weekend, I made a trip to my local comic book shop to pick up my copies of Bug Wars and Savage Sword of Conan. As usual, I took a quick lap around the store where I found the latest issue of Rogue in the Savage World that I needed to pick up and something I wasn’t expecting: Red Sonja vs. Army of Darkness.
I’ve really enjoyed my foray into sword and sorcery over the past year, but I still haven’t fallen in love with Red Sonja.
