Red Sonja and the New Trailer

I’ve briefly mentioned Red Sonja in my post about Red Sonja vs. Army of Darkness. For those of you who don’t know who she is, well… it’s complicated. Robert E. Howard, creator of Conan the Barbarian, had a character named Red Sonja of Rogatino that was featured in a story called The Shadow of the Vulture. She had fiery red hair, but no connection to Conan nor the universe in which he existed.

The Dark Knights of Steel

Last week, I opened up DC Universe Infinite to see what new comics were around to read. One cover caught my eye: I opened up the book and was greeted with some fantastic artwork. For fans of the DC Universe, that is indeed the legendary assassin Deathstroke in a medieval-fantasy setting. In 2021, DC launched a limited series called The Dark Knights of Steel. It ran for twelve issues and told a high-fantasy reimagining of the DC Universe.

Conan Unconquered (PC) and Conan (Xbox 360)

When I first began reading Conan the Barbarian, I could help but want to explore the world in a more interactive experience. This led me to looking into various Conan the Barbarian video games, which seem to be very hit and miss (mostly miss.) One of the more recent games was advertised as an RTS called Conan Unconquered. Having grown up playing Command and Conquer, I was intrigued at trying out a Conan RTS, as long as my off the shelf HP All-in-One PC could handle it.

Conan The Barbarian: Eastern Horizons (2025)

Story: ⭐️⭐️ Artwork: ⭐️ Re-Reability: Zero A few weeks ago, the standard release for the monthly issue of Conan the Barbarian was delayed, and in its place, Titan released a digital comic title Eastern Horizons. This one-shot comic was written by Walt Simonson, best known for his work on Thor in the mid-1980s. The art was handled by Jerry Ma. I was frustrated that this was a digital only release, and even more so that it was a Kindle only digital release, but I went ahead and paid $3.
