I picked up Current a month or so ago, and I honestly felt like it was a bit overwhelming. It just required more energy than I was willing to spend on setting everything up. Well, I found a little time to read through the documentation on the website and suddenly it all started making sense. I love that I can have real people that I know, with their real names listed so I don't miss their posts amongst the sea of everything else.
It's a new app, and constantly improving which I appreciate. I wasn't as thrilled with the performance on my Macbook, but I do like the layout on the Macbook. I'm hoping I can make the move from NetNewsWire because I'd love to have sync across devices.
The Guild is Coming Back
One of my all-time favorite YouTube experiences is watching The Guild, an early web series by Felicia Day. It was a wonderful show and the cast just announced crowd funding is coming for a movie this summer. I'm so down, and excited to see what the cast is up to these days. (That reminds me, I really need to finish up my re-watch.)
Channel 42 (Horrible Home Video)
I'm a big fan of Channel 42, a fictional channel that re-creates 90s broadcasts. On the channel, Horrible Home Video, the creator takes shows from the 90s and re-creates a vibe with period accurate commercials. It's pretty neat and I feel like he does a great job at capturing certain times such as Late Night Watching or Sci-Fi Watching.
Scour
I'm enjoying playing around with Scour. It seems to do a great job of finding me content that I wouldn't normally come across. It hasn't made its way into my daily routine, but I do check it once a week or so, and I appreciate the suggestions.
