A Few Good Things - Vol. 25
Money's Too Tight to Mention
I ran across this song the other day while looking for Simply Red's Holding Back the Years and found it quite suitable for today's world.
Total Recall 2070
I recently began watching Total Recall 2070 on YouTube. The show was only given a DVD release and isn't available via streaming. The quality has left a lot to be desired, but the show really clicked with me. So, I was thankful the other day when I ran across an AI upscaled version of the show and man is that a great use of AI. The show looks fantastic and its made for a much more enjoyable viewing experience.
Old.Reddit Blocked
Recently, reddit has blocked old.reddit.com from working without an account. At first this sounds like a bad thing, but for someone like me who has tried to quit reddit unsuccessfully over the years, this is a blessing in disguise. I can't stand their modern website and their lack of chronological posts, so by blocking old.reddit, they have forced me to only rely on the lurker app on my iPhone to access reddit. This has cut down my reddit use significantly, and more importantly, the reddit use on subreddits that I don't follow regularly. Thanks reddit for being greedy enough assholes to help me break my addiction!
Miami Vice Music Encyclopedia
Last week, I decided to continue my watch of Miami Vice that I started a few years ago. The poor show is always bouncing around streaming services, so I finally bought it while it was on sale on digitally. The show looks great and holds up well with a nice slice of the 80s. The music, fashion, cars... it's still such a damn cool show. Anyway, I ran across this very nice Miami Vice Music Encyclopedia online. It's been a great help in identifying some of the songs as they play throughout the episode.
Babylon 5 Comes to YouTube
The official Babylon 5 channel has launched on YouTube and J. Michael Straczynski has introduced the channel himself. It sounds like there are some plans to include various cast members and today they started adding full episodes. I already own the series digitally, but it's always nice to see an favorite show make it in front of new viewers.
