A Few Good Things - Vol. 30
Monstervision - The Comic
Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy are bringing back Monstervision, as a comic. Okay, that's not exactly true, the comic isn't going to be anything like the 90s TNT show, it'll just share the name, but slap Joe Bob Briggs in anything and I'm there. So I'm anxiously awaiting this release in December.

Midnight X-Men
This fall Marvel is launching a series called Midnight and as part of that series they are producing some variant covers that homage old horror films. I was particularly in love with this X-Men cover that homages Fright Night, which I recently discussed here on the blog.

Ted, The Man with the Bag, and Newlyweds

There was an assortment of movies and TV shows announced last week I'm curious about. The first is Ted, the animated series, which I briefly mentioned during my last A Few Good Things. I'm not thrilled with this version picking up after the movies, as the cast of the live-action TV show is really what made Ted work. But, I'll give a chance.
Second, The Man with the Bag is a new Arnold Schwarzenegger Christmas flick. Having been a huge fan of Jingle All the Way, I'm hoping Arnold can make another Christmas classic. (And yes, I know that term is used loosely here as lots of people hate Jingle All the Way, but I like it damnit!)
And finally, Newlyweds, a new take on the Dharma and Greg type story featuring real life married couple Tim Daly and Tea Leoni, with Jamie Lee Curtis, surprisingly showing up in a sitcom. I'm a huge fan of Tim Daly from Wings (as well as his performance of Superman) and despite this looking pretty "meh" I'll be checking it out.
Spiderman Brand New Day
I finally got around to watching Spiderman and what an amazing flick. It exceeded all expectations and they were pretty high considering how many people gushed about it. That was a damn fine superhero film and movie in general. I keep saying it, but if you make superhero movies about characters folks care about (Deadpool, Spiderman, Captain America, etc.) they will make money. It was once they started dipping into the B and C tier along with Disney cheating out on the CGI when things started to take a dive.
A New Look
The site has gotten a new look thanks to Scribbles custom theme option. I consider it a work in progress, as it needs some fine-tuning still, but it's much more in line for what I look for in a blogging theme/template. Its not as modern or stripped down as most blogs these days, but I like my sidebar.
