The Links Page is Back

My massive Links page is back online. It's newly updated and reorganized. I'm still part of the Wayward Webring which will help you find other people online who curate large Link pages, so if you are looking for something new to read, check it out.

KI MMA

Scott Coker, the man behind Strikeforce and Bellator's success is coming back to MMA with a new promotion called KI MMA. The early press snippets sound good: MMA in a ring, international rules are being proposed, recruiting new stars (Strikeforce and Bellator were amazing at this), but ultimately this will be judged by the content in the ring. UFC has obviously lost the plot, so this is prime time for someone to inject some energy into the sport whether it's Coker or Jake Paul. I really want a US version of Pride, and KI could possibly be that.

Mafia: The Definitive Edition

I've been on a tear finishing up games lately. First, after several years, I finally played all the way through Cyberpunk. Then I bought Wolverine and completed it. Afterwards, I wanted something different, so I decided to play a bit of Mafia: The Definitive Edition and I ended up finishing it as well. I loved Mafia II, but I never completed the original. I remember playing the demo on my PC, which could barely run it back in 2002, and despite buying the Definitive Edition five years ago, I just never put the time and effort into it. It was a very solid game and one I enjoyed immensely. Now... I guess, maybe it’s time to revisit Mafia 2, a game that always reminds me of Christmas.

Christies Gourmet Cookies

I was walking through Harris Teeter the other day when I saw a small box of cookies for $8. They seemed wildly overpriced, but they had snickerdoodle and its hard to find a good snickerdoodle cookie. So, I figured, what the hell, you only live once right?

Well... that was $8 well spent. Christie makes a damn good snickerdoodle.
